HSBC UK City Ride Manchester - Sunday 23rd July 2017

Guest User

Sunday 23rd July 2017 - Event timings 11:00-16:00 - Road Closures from 05:00-18:00

Dear Resident / Business occupier,

The HSBC UK City Ride Manchester is a free, mass participation bicycle ride for families, children and young people, aimed at giving participants an enjoyable and safe city-centre cycling experience in a traffic free environment. It’s a great day out for all the family with lots to do both on and off a bike.

As you will be aware, events of this size inevitably involve changes to services and the introduction of traffic management measures. While we are putting plans in place to minimise disruption, road closures and diversions are required both to form the route and ensure the safety of participants and spectators.

Further below you will find a representative map showing the route; it also includes the areas that will be affected by closures and the closure timings. Please check the location of your property to see how your road and the surrounding area will be affected. This will also assist you in making decisions about the best way of travelling around the area on Sunday 23rd July.

Residents

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, but to ensure the safety of cyclists and event staff, there can be no vehicle access or movement onto or along the route itself during the scheduled road closure times.
Residents living directly on, or with secured parking off, any of the above roads, who need to use their cars on Sunday 23rd July between the scheduled road closure times should use alternative parking on nearby roads or car parks away from the roads affected. Please do not leave your vehicle parked on the route itself.

Businesses

As there can be no vehicle access anywhere along the route, businesses are advised to consider rearranging deliveries to arrive before the scheduled closure times or after the scheduled reopening times, as detailed above. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
